Group Yoga Classes
The following are group yoga classes that I regularly teach in the Burlington, VT area:
EveryBody Yoga ESSEX (Crawlers and Up):
This class takes place at the Evolution Prenatal & Family Yoga Center – Essex location and could alternately be titled: “What to do when your baby starts to be on the move and you can no longer come to postnatal yoga” or “How can I get any exercise for myself when I have my toddler home with me?”
EveryBody Yoga is the answer to so many of your questions about how to keep up with yoga now that your child is no longer a baby. This class is focused on the adult who is home with the child. Be prepared to have to down-dog under your little one, or to be climbed on in cobra pose. Our hope is that your child will play in the room, copy some yoga poses, and have a great time while you get to practice. We’re sure it will be sometimes loud, oftentimes distracting, and always fun.
Please do not bring food into class. If you bring toys from home, your child will need to be prepared to share them with other children (so leave the special toy at home!)
Gentle Yoga:
This class takes place at Peace of Mind Pilates in Essex. A great place for beginners as well as those looking to slow down their yoga practice. This class is designed to accommodate all beginners – utilizing blocks, blankets and straps to find a stretch that is beneficial to all.
Heated Power Flow:
This class takes place at SoulShine Power Yoga in Essex, VT. A moderately paced vinyasa yoga (vinyasa tries to synchronize your movement to your breath, creating a flow from one posture to the next).
Heated to 95 degrees, this class is appropriate for most levels. While I teach to the beginner I also add in options for more experienced yogis/yoginis.
Don’t forget to bring along a bottle of water and hand towel. $15/class or discounted class punch cards available.
Poolside Yoga:
This class takes place at the Essex Physical Therapy Meadows location next to CVS. Held around the pool deck, the room is consistently kept at a temperature of @88-90 degrees.
Poolside yoga is a general yoga class, welcoming any age, ability or level. Your interests help drive the content for the class. Gain strength, flexibility, balance and breath in this class designed around your needs. Both modifications and challenges will be offered throughout. Feel free to let me know prior to class what you are interested in working on.
Please enter through the side pool door of the Essex PT Building. Don’t forget to bring along a bottle of water and hand towel. $10/class or buy a 10 class punch card and get one free!
Yoga for Runners:
This class takes place at the Essex Physical Therapy Meadows location next to CVS. Held around the pool deck, the room is consistently kept at a temperature of @88-90 degrees.
The idea is to use the heat to open tight muscles we tend to repetitively use when we run. While this class targets muscle groups runners and walkers tend to overuse, it is truly beneficial to anyone, especially those that enjoy bike riding, cross-fit, and swimming.
