This class could alternately be titled: “What to do when your baby starts to be on the move and you can no longer come to postnatal yoga” or “How can I get any exercise for myself when I have my toddler home with me?”
EveryBody Yoga is the answer to so many of your questions about how to keep up with yoga now that your child is no longer a baby. This class is focused on the adult who is home with the child. Be prepared to have to down-dog under your little one, or to be climbed on in cobra pose. Our hope is that your child will play in the room, copy some yoga poses, and have a great time while you get to practice. We’re sure it will be sometimes loud, oftentimes distracting, and always fun.
Please do not bring food into class. If you bring toys from home, your child will need to be prepared to share them with other children (so leave the special toy at home!)
I help individuals as well as groups develop a yoga practice that is suitable for each body. I take the time to understand particular needs, finding appropriate modifications and challenges, so that everyone is able to understand how yoga can help them specifically.
